How do I add Points of Interest to my Map?

Points of interest are icons that can be placed on your map to call attention to specific areas or objects. For example, points of interest can include: Mailroom, Breakroom, Restroom, AED, Fire Alarm, Security Camera, Server Room, Printer and more. Points of interest can also include callouts such as text boxes and arrows. 

Add a Point of Interest

To add a point of interest, follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to the Map Editor tab.
  2. Click Load Map.
  3. Select the location and map you wish to open.
  4. Click Load.
  5. In the menu to the right, navigate to the Objects tab.
  6. Click the Data tab.
  7. Select the desired Point of Interest. Note: When hovered over the map, the point of interest selected appears at the tip of your mouse arrow.
  8. Left click to place the point of interest on the map.

Edit Info for a Point of Interest

  1. Select the POI 
  2. Locate the POI-specific Tab (Dynamic Tab) 
  3. Locate the Info Tab 
  4. Edit the POI name if needed 
  5. Add Additional Details or Information here

Edit the Display of a Point of Interest

  1. Select the POI 
  2. Locate the POI-specific Tab (Dynamic Tab) 
  3. Locate the Display Tab 
  4. Edit the display colors if desired 
  5. Choose to make the current settings the POI template by selecting “Set as Template” 
  6. Any info and label settings previously set will also be included in the POI template 
  7. Clear any existing templates by selecting “Clear Template” 

Edit Label

  1. Select the POI 
  2. Locate the POI-specific Tab (Dynamic Tab) 
  3. Locate the Labels Tab 
  4. Edit the POI labels if needed 

Add Image

  1. Select the POI 
  2. Locate the POI-specific Tab (Dynamic Tab) 
  3. Locate the Image Tab 
  4. Select Set Image 
  5. Upload desired image and select save 

Duplicate an Existing Point of Interest

  1. Select the POI you want to copy 
  2. Press CTRL + D (or the duplicate button) 
  3. Move the new POI to the desired location 
  4. The new POI will contain the settings of the copied POI
