How to create a scenario in the Map Editor tool.
A scenario is an exact copy of an existing map. Once the scenario is created, you can further edit it and use scenario comparison tools to determine how it compares to your original map. Scenarios are not live maps, and they cannot be viewed by end users.
Note: If you choose to implement a scenario, it overrides the original map from which it was created.
Create a Scenario
- Navigate to the Map Editor tab.
- Click Load Map.
- Select the location and map to load.
- Click Load.
- In the Map Menu to the right, click into the Info tab. Note: If the menu does not reflect the map options, click on the white space surrounding the map canvas. This triggers the menu to display the map options.
- Click Create Scenario.
- Click Continue.
- Name your new scenario.
- Click Create Scenario.
- Save and close all open maps.
Open Scenarios in Map Editor
- Once the scenario has been created, navigate to the Map Editor tab.
- Select Load Map.
- Click once on the desired location.
- Click once on the desired floor.
- If your office has multiple floors or suites, there may be multiple maps to choose from. Select the appropriate floor or suite for the scenario you are looking for.
- Select Scenarios in the lower lefthand corner.
- Select the specific scenario you are looking for by clicking on its row. The selected scenario will be highlighted in blue.
- Select Load.
- From here, you have the option to continue editing and saving your progress.
