How to add the Maptician web app to your Apple iOS and Android OS.
Apple iOS
- Open Safari (not Google or Chrome apps) and go to the Maptician site: https://companyname.maptician.com.
- Select the "Share/Menu" button on the bottom of the browser page.
- Locate and select the "Add to Home Screen" option.
- Confirm the addition by clicking "Add".
- Once added, your Maptician app should appear on your home screen. If you have multiple pages of apps, you may have to scroll to find it.
- The first time you use the shortcut you will need to log-in. The application should open directly after clicking the icon on your iPhone. You will not need to log-in again unless you formally log out of your account in the app.
- If your log-in is saved, you should be able to use your Face ID, thumbprint or password keychain to autofill your password as long as your email address is entered. This will vary based on your phone.
Important things to note:
- If you login to Maptician and only see a floor plan and not the bottom navigation menu, there may be some formatting issues.
- Continue with adding the Maptician app to your mobile device.
- Exit Safari and locate the app.
- Re-login
- Any formatting issues should resolve themselves when using the installed app as opposed to the Safari browser window.
Android OS
- Open a Chrome browser winder on your phone.
- Type in https://companyname.maptician.com
- If available, click "Add Maptician to Home Screen" at the bottom on the screen.
- Otherwise, select the browser menu icon on the top of the screen.
- Locate and click the "Add to Home screen" option.
- Confirm the addition by clicking "Add".
- Once added, your Maptician app should appear on your home screen. If you have multiple pages of apps, you may have to scroll to find it.
- The first time you use this app shortcut, you will have to log in. Choose "Remember Me". Once you have logged in, you will not need to do it again unless you formally log off of your account in the app.
